Level 3 Kayak Assessment

The purpose of this award is to provide a minimum qualification for people who are in charge of kayaking activities at a Centre, School or Club.

This assessment qualifies you to lead groups on journeys and or on white water (grade II), or equivolent sea conditions.

Course dates

Most courses can be arranged at dates suitable to your needs. Please contact Tom if you require further information.

Price

-For two people the price can be reduced to £140 each.
-For three people the price can be reduced to £130 each.
-For four or more people the price can be reduced to £120 each.
-Plus £17.50 BCU fee.

Please note: You will need to provide your own food.

Pre-requirements

Minimum age: 18
Level 2 Kayak Assessment
Appropriate 4 Star Test
Evidence of current membership of the BCU
Current First Aid Certificate
Up to date log book with evidence of 50 hours relevent instructional experience.
Originals of all certificates
Ability to handle yourself competently on grade II water (inland)
Ability to handle yourself competently in moderate conditions (winds up to force 4) on the open sea
Ability to roll.

BCU Level 3 Inland Kayak Assessment Syllabus
You must bring your C1and blank C2, which you should have recieved back from the BCU after your training course. For the C1 form to be valid it must have a date stamp in the Assessment box (bottm right). The form is only valid for 3 years from the stamped date .
